AI visibility that stays inside the advertising rules

Every page MaxConnex writes for a healthcare practice is checked against section 133 of the National Law, the AHPRA advertising guidelines and the TGA’s rules on prescription medicines before it is published, including the machine-readable layers AI engines read and patients never see.

Healthcare is our specialism. The rules are part of how we write, not a review at the end. For the detail on what the rules say, read our guide to AHPRA-compliant AI search optimisation.

Our process

Seven rules every page goes through

  1. 01

Every page is advertising, including the parts patients never see

Structured data, llms.txt files, meta descriptions, image alt text and URL slugs are all published statements. We review them to the same standard as the visible page, because an AI engine reads all of them.

  2. 02

Checked against section 133 before it is published

Nothing we write is false or misleading, offers an inducement without its terms, uses a testimonial, creates an unreasonable expectation of treatment, or encourages unnecessary use of a health service. Superlatives such as "best" or "leading" are removed unless they can be substantiated.

  3. 03

    No prescription medicine names, anywhere

For cosmetic, weight and skin practices we describe consultations and the conditions treated, never Schedule 4 products, their nicknames or their prices, in line with the TGA’s rules. Before and after imagery is left out.

  4. 04

Reviews stay where patients left them

We help practices earn honest reviews on independent platforms. We do not republish reviews about clinical care on your own site, and review replies we draft thank the patient without restating any clinical detail or outcome.

  5. 05

Titles and credentials are stated exactly

Practitioner names, professions, qualifications and registration types are published as they appear on the register. Protected titles such as "surgeon" and "specialist" are only used where the registration supports them.

  6. 06

Numbers are verified or they are not published

Every figure in our own marketing and in the content we write for clients carries a source and a date. An unverifiable number is removed, not softened.

  7. 07

You approve before anything goes live

The practice reviews every piece of content before publication. Clinical accuracy is yours to confirm; compliance with the advertising rules is part of our brief.

Answers

Compliance, answered

Is MaxConnex AHPRA approved or certified?

No, and no agency is. AHPRA does not certify, approve or accredit marketing agencies. What we can show is that we know section 133 of the National Law, the AHPRA advertising guidelines and the TGA rules, and that we check every page against them before it is published.

Does the advertising law apply to content written for AI engines?

We treat it as if it does. Section 133 applies to anyone advertising a regulated health service, and the TGA defines advertising broadly as any statement, picture or design intended to promote therapeutic goods. A product name in your structured data is still something you published.

Can a practice be visible in AI answers without testimonials?

Yes. What AI engines cite most readily is verifiable facts: who your practitioners are, what you treat, where you are and when you are open, stated the same way everywhere. Reviews on independent platforms do the persuading, and those are the platform’s responsibility, not yours.

What about cosmetic and weight loss practices?

They are the most constrained category we work in, and we work in it. For these practices we describe consultations and the conditions treated, never prescription products, their nicknames or their prices, and we check every page, schema block and llms.txt line before it goes live.

Is this legal advice?

No. This page describes how we work. For advice on your own advertising, speak to a health lawyer or your indemnity insurer.
